For Kim, great design has never been about following a prescribed style or recreating a look. It starts with understanding the people who will experience the space, how it needs to function, what they are drawn to and, most importantly, how they want it to feel.
That approach has shaped Kim Dee Designs into a collaborative design firm known for balancing creativity with function and big-picture vision with the details needed to bring it all together. Whether designing a family home, a new build, a renovation or a commercial space, Kim believes the best designs should feel intentional, personal and specific to the people and purpose behind them.
Kim remains closely involved in the creative direction of KDD projects while leading a team that supports each project from initial concepts and selections through technical documentation, procurement and installation.
Her approach is instinctive but intentional, pushing each design far enough to make it memorable while ensuring the finished space still feels authentic to the people who experience it.

We don't believe beautiful homes need to feel precious or overly perfect.

Design + Construction
Successful projects require hundreds of interconnected decisions including space planning, cabinetry, lighting, plumbing, tile layouts, elevations, architectural details, furnishings, specifications and construction sequencing.
KDD specializes in working within that complexity.
Our design team develops the creative direction while producing the plans, elevations, specifications and documentation necessary to clearly communicate the design to builders and trades.
By remaining connected to both the aesthetic and technical sides of the project, we help protect the original design intent as a home moves from concept into construction.

An Arizona State University design graduate, Jenn supports concept development, sourcing, selections and project execution with a thoughtful approach to creating spaces that feel personal and connected to the people who inhabit them.
KALEY BUTTARS
Junior Designer
With a degree in Interior Design and more than ten years of industry experience, Kaley translates KDD concepts into the detailed drawings, elevations, 3D models and renderings that allow both clients and construction teams to clearly understand and execute the design.
MIKELLE ACOSTA
Marketing + Social Media
A Northern Arizona University Interior Design graduate, Mikelle combines her design background and hands on experience with marketing and communications to help share KDD's projects, perspective and creative process.
